Bobbie's Civil War Sampler
 

Bobbie worked long and hard on her Civil War Sampler quilt. But it is well worth it!! Wish you could see it in person as she did a wonderful job matching her points and her colors are amazing. We chose Hobbs 80/20 batting and a neutral thread to custom quilt it; doing a lot of ruler work with no computer nor stitch regulator.

Fabulous quilt. I have been collecting civil war fabrics for about a year and a half and a sampler quilt is the pattern I want to make. Love your quilt!!!!

I think they call this art! It's beautiful, and I applaud you for your "handwork".

According to Barbara Brackman it is The H Block, representing the make-shift Hospitals that were set up in hotels or most any large building they could convert into hospitals for the wounded. There is so much history in each block! Love the quilt! I have the book but have only made a few of the blocks for a table runner that I made as a surprise for one of our library volunteers who is very interested in the Civil War. Don't think I got a picture of it.
