We have all done it. (sometimes more than once   ) It is a beautiful quilt. Look like ripping time. Sigh.

I recently did exactly the same thing. The bad thing is that I have already trimmed my ends. I honestly did not know what caused the waves. I will learn from this though. Ugh!

Franie, your quilt is beautiful and I thank you for your posting. You have saved me from making the same mistake. I wish I was there with you to help out on the seam ripping.

glad to see i'm in good company,

But I will have a better product. I had hoped to put this one in our local fair in Aug but not like that! LOL

I had a quilt do the same thing. I measured, re-measured, seam-ripped, re-measured, put the borders back on and guess what.... I still had a ripple! I folded the top up and stuck it in the closet. I dont know what I did wrong??

I love the quilt! I remember when you "auditioned" the pieced border and how it got the vote. It turned out beautiful and will be more so once you mend the ruffles. :)
