A Bookcase Wallhanging & A Potholder
 

Just finished this wallhanging and potholder as a surprise for an online friend who loves books, and has a "thing" for llamas, cats, and sock monkeys! :D I'll drop it in the mail to her tomorrow. It was from a Crafty-Pay-It-Forward challenge on Facebook, so she knows I'm sending something, but doesn't know when or what it is. Hope she likes them! :)

All of the books except one are classics. The other book is called "Llama Adventures", since she likes llamas. :D First time I've made a bookcase quilt. It was fun!

I am always looking for ideas to personalize quilts for my friends. Yours is a terrific idea. I had never seen or heard of a bookcase quilt. Thank you so much for sharing the picture of one. Now that I have an embroidery machine, I will try to make one, too.

Your quilt is awesome. I want to make one for one of my friends that has a whole room full of bookcases and books. Did you have a pattern or did you just wing it? I am no good at winging....LOL
