love the borders framing your beautiful quilt! Great Quilt!

jitkaau 05-14-2011 03:15 AM

I think it calls for the extra borders - it will look unfinished and less spectacular if you leave them off. The olive green would look fine as the next one.

nunnyJo 05-14-2011 03:20 AM

no borders, it is already framed and big enough, BFF

Donna Mare 05-14-2011 03:23 AM

I like picture one.. right side...so I go with no border.. Looks great just like that.in my humble opinion.

so-sew 05-14-2011 03:47 AM

I like the dark green inner border with the outside red border. Beautiful quilt!

justlooking 05-14-2011 03:55 AM

Beautiful, I say border!

JulieTN 05-14-2011 04:03 AM

WHAT A GREAT QUILT! i like borders because IF anyone should want to rebind..and many a binding is just cut off .. the person willnot be cutting into the quilt's main design.

I vote for borders. The dark green at the top and the dark brown. By the way, your quilt is beautiful so far.

allie1448 05-14-2011 04:36 AM

I think a border

merchjag 05-14-2011 04:37 AM

border-lovely

bisseau 05-14-2011 04:43 AM

Beautiful...I would add a border.

Lindsey 05-14-2011 05:08 AM

I am a border person myself but ya know its really a personal thing. I like the green you have with the red/burgandy. Looks great. Love your quilt.

quiltedmermaid 05-14-2011 05:28 AM

Needs a GREEN border...very nice

matraina 05-14-2011 05:54 AM

I guess I'm the oddball out. I like it better without.

Baloonatic 05-14-2011 06:08 AM

I like either the second or the third green for the inner border. Your quilt is beautiful!

JCL in FL 05-14-2011 06:16 AM

from what I can see there isn't much difference in the the greens. It is very attractive quilt and the borders frame it and say," look at me". It would be great either way with or without. By the time I get that far I'm sorta tired of it and the thought of adding 3,4 or 5 borders wears me out but they really do look nice on a quilt and if it doesn't make it too big for your use, go for it and put those borders on. It is so pretty.

LAB55 05-14-2011 06:20 AM

Beautiful !! :-D

Mazda 05-14-2011 06:21 AM

I would add a border.

malega 05-14-2011 06:33 AM

I allways like borders,it looks so very pretty.

red-warrior 05-14-2011 06:37 AM

You have made such a beautiful quilt that has beautiful color combinations!!
I would go with your gut feeling on the border colors...you have a great eye!

GramaLaura 05-14-2011 06:47 AM

Awesome quilt!!! I would use the darkest color you have for a border :-D

jad1044 05-14-2011 07:10 AM

a narrow light green next to the top, followed by the wider dark green around the outside would be outstanding I think, if you decided to put on borders, but is gorgeous just the way it is.

I like it with the green, then red border you shoe in the photos. It just tends to frame out everything else. Nice job!

AnnT 05-14-2011 07:15 AM

It's a beautiful quilt. I think a green border would look good but it looks great as is.

Sheree from Chicago 05-14-2011 08:03 AM

Beautiful without borders!

Stacey 05-14-2011 08:06 AM

Definitely borders. And I think I like the middle one. Is it a green? The top one blends too much with the rest of the quilt. Awesome job, btw.

yonnikka 05-14-2011 08:11 AM

Yes to both borders. As Ruby McKim would say, a strong quilt pattern is like the bull in the pasture: you want to have a fence; the stronger the bull; the stronger the border!

cookie101221 05-14-2011 08:26 AM

Borders... when i look at my quilts and have a hard time desiding it needs one or not.I picture it as if it was in a picture frame. I almost always put borders.

tadpoles_62 05-14-2011 08:41 AM

yes border, beautiful top

Dotsie 05-14-2011 08:49 AM

Your quilt is beautiful and I think a border will be a good finishing off.

EagarBeez 05-14-2011 10:01 AM

beautiful quilt, the brown color you have held up I am assuming your plan to use. I would say go ahead, it would show off the whole quilt. If not, it's still beautiful. Whatever your heart tells you go with it, you won't be wrong

My vote is definitely for a border to tie it all together.

dixiechunk 05-14-2011 10:13 AM

Could not be said any better. Good ol' Ruby.

Sorry about the double post.

Quilted Nana 05-14-2011 01:14 PM

beautiful. I say yes on border, but would like to see what border you would use.

decky 05-14-2011 01:33 PM

If you choose to make a border, I like the middle green one.
