I agree! There are elements of both summer picnics and fall there. Great job!

I agree with the majority. This is a beautiful quilt. No need for a border and dark binding would be beautiful.

tadpoles_62 08-08-2011 09:00 AM

beautiful , depending on what size you want , i would use possibly a 2 inch border of light brown and then 4 inch dark brown to frame it making the design come out more , but it looks good without too ?????

Wonnie 08-08-2011 09:07 AM

Ooooh........gorgeous!!!...could see it with the background color of the border ( white? cream? Can't tell from picture) or the dark brown.

iltoaz 08-08-2011 09:07 AM

I like the way the quilt looks now - I would finish by adding a dark binding. Let us know how you decide to finish and post pics.

Wagoza 08-08-2011 09:10 AM

I love it the way it is... I love Autumn.

When I look at it what comes to mind is Fall Breezes or Autumn Breezes. Pinwheels and leaves... seems to fit.

joycecil 08-08-2011 09:50 AM

This is beautiful!!!!
To me this quilt is called falling in love.
Two singles comming to gether.
Then you have your family unit.
Then you have the leaves (falling)

belmer 08-08-2011 11:29 AM

No border, just a scrappy autumn colors binding!

Baloonatic 08-08-2011 12:08 PM

Autumn Spinner! It would look fab with just one of the darker fabrics for the binding, no border

Baloonatic 08-08-2011 12:11 PM

Hmmph, I just saved this pic and since it had to be titled I put "Autumn Splendor"... just sayin

Jammin' Jane 08-08-2011 12:14 PM

Free Fallin'

I would just put on binding using one of the rich, dark colors!

Tweety2911 08-08-2011 12:22 PM

Perfect as is, no border. "Falling Leaves"?

Suz 08-08-2011 12:42 PM

No need for an additional border.

If this were my quilt, I'd use a narrow piping first, perhaps one of the darker colors and binding last. I think a scrap binding would be fun. Let us know what you decide.

NUTMEG10 08-08-2011 12:53 PM

Beautiful quilt. All you need is the binding in a dark color

Cottontop 08-08-2011 12:54 PM

status quo...stay as is. Just beautiful!

judy363905 08-08-2011 12:55 PM

I would say no border needed...binding would be my perferred finish. Very nice job.

Quiltaddict 08-08-2011 01:26 PM

I would not add another border. It is framed perfectly with the floating leaves.

Rock Lady 08-08-2011 01:51 PM

It is very beautiful. I think I would call it Autumn Windmills.

MaggieMeg 08-08-2011 01:51 PM

Autumn Dance
Autumn Breeze
Summer's End
Whispered Breeze
Cool Breeze
Free Falling
Whispered Breath
Wind Song!!

Very pretty, by the way! Just as it is with a border would look great! Love the colors and the design, and the leaves!

MaggieMeg 08-08-2011 01:55 PM

Beautiful name for a beautiful quilt.

desertrose 08-08-2011 01:56 PM

No border....lookes great just as it is. Harvest Memories

Quiltcamp 08-08-2011 02:00 PM

I think it's beautiful just as it is.

donnaluigi 08-08-2011 02:08 PM

perfect as it is

luckylindy333 08-08-2011 02:10 PM

How about Falling Leaves? I love a little dark border to frame a quilt- maybe dark brown or a brown and gold one?

Janquiltz 08-08-2011 02:40 PM

"Swirling and Spinning in to Fall" - no border, but scrappy binding would look great!

Dolphyngyrl 08-08-2011 03:27 PM

No border

kacy 49 08-08-2011 03:55 PM

I love your quilt. It is perfect and just needs dark binding to finish.

Chicca 08-08-2011 03:57 PM

It is beautiful. I do not think that it needs a border. I am not good with naming quilts. Thank you for sharing.

n2stitches 08-08-2011 03:58 PM

Absolutely beautiful. No border and how about Leaves All Around. Keep up the good work. Thanks for sharing. I love it!

buddy'smom 08-08-2011 03:58 PM

No border and just stunning.

phylby 08-08-2011 04:50 PM

Looks done to me. Beautiful

My time 08-08-2011 04:56 PM

No border just a dark binding. The leaves are your border. What a beautiful quilt, well done.

JCL in FL 08-08-2011 05:07 PM

I'd say no border and I love borders, but this beauty just doesn't need one. What is the pattern?

RobertaMarie 08-08-2011 05:29 PM

Beautiful quilt, just as it is. Add or not, it is wonderful. If it were mine, I would call it Autumn Dreams. Love the falling leaves.....

I like someone's suggestion of "Autum Splendor". or how about Autum's Song, Summer's End, Autum Blaze, or Fall Medley...Whatever you decide to name it, it's an awesome quilt.

sewnsewer2 08-08-2011 05:52 PM

I agree, it doesn't need a border, it's beautiful! How about the name wind blown?

Taughtby Grandma 08-08-2011 06:19 PM

Pretty quilt, how about "Falling leaves" for the fall colors and the leaves.

IBQUILTIN 08-08-2011 06:21 PM

I don't think I would do a thing other than get a brown binding on it. Beautiful

laalaaquilter 08-08-2011 06:51 PM

Can't help you with the border question but 'Freewheeling Fall'?
