I can't decide if this is done or not. It was a mini round robin with a couple of my bestest quilt buddies. Was thinking a border of 2" blocks using the colored fabrics from the quilt. OR do I just call it done and add a binding using the colored fabrics? I need a name for too.....my daughter usually hits it right on the mark with a name, but we are all coming up blank on this one. Thanks for your help :-D

Beautiful quilt no border looks great Maybe "Fall Picnic"

Dianemarie 08-07-2011 06:26 AM

No border and absolustely gorgeous !

quiltingaz 08-07-2011 06:26 AM

I can see it with just a binding in a dark color, but a border would also look nice. I guess it depends on what size quilt you want.

wvhill22 08-07-2011 06:32 AM

Beautiful! just binding in a dark color

DogHouseMom 08-07-2011 06:45 AM

I agree with most ... it looks fantastic already, just bind it in one of the dark colors from the quilt. Great job!

Granny Quilter 08-07-2011 06:57 AM

It already has a border, doesn't need another one unless you need to make it bigger

mcb1180 08-07-2011 07:01 AM

No border.

TeddyB1967 08-07-2011 07:10 AM

I really like this one, and I love the color's.
With the leaves falling and the pinwheels turning, how about something like "Fall Winds", or "End of Summer" for names.

Yep, me too!

boopisit 08-07-2011 07:24 AM

Beautiful, but a dark binding would set it off to perfection.

nursie76 08-07-2011 07:24 AM

How about

Fall Windmills

or

Fall Swirl

or

Spin on Nature

QuiltE 08-07-2011 08:14 AM

ITA with the others ... the border you have there IS your border! Finish it off with a scrappy binding of the assorted colours within ... or keep it simple and use your background fabric solo.

Names?
Autumn Splendor?
Autumn Glory?

YIKES! talk about confusing me .... I did my post above and then saw the thread again. Was sure I had posted to this thread, and yes indeedy-do, I did ... double thread going here with an interesting group of different comments!

Kathy-Pgh 08-07-2011 08:52 AM

No border. How about "Spinning Leaves"?

SparkMonkey 08-07-2011 09:05 AM

"Equinox" jumped into my head. It's lovely, and I agree with the no-border-colored-binding crowd.

Sewfine 08-07-2011 09:14 AM

Beautiful. Like it without the border.

sisLH 08-07-2011 09:29 AM

no border -jmo

Xstitshmom 08-07-2011 09:37 AM

Very pretty. I don't think it needs a border.

Muv 08-07-2011 10:21 AM

Really pretty. Just bind it. Autumn Breeze

redquilter 08-07-2011 10:41 AM

I think it looks done - with the only thing missing being a dark binding.

LoisN 08-07-2011 10:42 AM

Autumn Leaves?

I think binding in one of your darker colors would be a lovely way to complete this quilt. I love the suggestion of "Spin on Nature" as the name.

nyelphaba 08-07-2011 11:50 AM

Quilt looks done to me. It is beautiful.

joeyoz 08-07-2011 11:54 AM

Whatever you decide it is beautiful.

Kitsapquilter 08-07-2011 12:08 PM

It is a beautiful quilt and unless you need it to be bigger I would just quilt and bind and call it done!
Seeing the pretty leaves and the pin wheels the name that first came to my mind was "Blowing in the Wind".

the casual quilter 08-07-2011 12:17 PM

Personally, I like it the way it is. It's gorgerous.

quilter_kjm 08-07-2011 12:18 PM

no border. it is gorgeous and all speaks for itself. it's perfect.

labug 08-07-2011 12:24 PM

Looks great just the way it is.

Marjoeal 08-07-2011 02:01 PM

Beautiful as is. Binding could be assorted fabrics done diagonally. Maybe because I just read comments about Fall coming and it's so hot here...how about calling it "Fall Releaf." Just my thoughts. Great work.

dragonflyxlx 08-07-2011 02:03 PM

Beautiful quilt, I agree with others the beautiful leaves are border enough I would just bind.

gellybean402 08-07-2011 02:08 PM

I like to do a binding of one of the colors from the quilt to give it that "framed" look and make the quilt "pop". This quilt is beautiful! Please post pics when you finish it.

blueangel 08-07-2011 04:45 PM

No border

sidmona 08-07-2011 04:48 PM

I like it without another border - beautiful quilt!

maine ladybug 08-07-2011 04:56 PM

I like it just as it is. I wouldn't add a border.
How about Swirling Leaves?

Jingle 08-07-2011 04:59 PM

Beautiful, looks like it has a border. I would use a brown for the binding.

cathylynn 08-07-2011 08:29 PM

it's beautiful without a border.

Krystyna 08-08-2011 03:19 AM

What a beauty! What about a binding using the whitish fabric? The tumble of leaves around the edge just looks perfect the way it is.
