borders are on my aqua rail fence
1 Attachment(s)
I just finished putting the borders on my aqua rail fence quilt. I had several questions about selection of fabric for this, which I asked in the Main section. I had so many good suggestions and helpful comments that it made making the decisions easier.
I mainly was creating a quilt "using up" 45 darker aqua pieces that I had cut for another quit but didn't use. Those pieces of fabric felt left out, and I wanted to make them feel better. They feel loved now. I am VERY pleased with the results. If you have been reading my threads, I have called the quilt soothingly calm. It is. :) Thanks for looking. Dina |
wow...the boarder looks like shimmering water. It is a perfect color.

Love this pattern one of my favorites. Yours is beautiful. The colors are super and the border is outstanding. Do you have the name of the border fabric. I would love some of this fabric. BrendaK

Maybe you can find it with that bit of information. It was up on the "wall" of quilting fabric, and I have seen it there several times. I bought this fabric two weeks ago, so it should still be available, even if it isn't a "staple." Dina |
love the calming blue colors

Beautiful !

No, I don't know the name of the border fabric, and I used all but an inch WOF, so I don't have a selvage to look at. I bought it at Hobby Lobby though, and it was part of something called Earth series. The light blue is part of that series too. I think each is a "staple" at Hobby Lobby.

I am glad you found a home for your aqua pieces. I like the name you chose. The colors are calming and remind me of the color of the water in the islands.

Gorgeous. Now I want a day at the beach! But seriously, it is beautiful and gives a sense of peace.
