Please help me decide. I bought this fabric for a backing and binding, but realized it was the same as one of the strips. Should I put a 3 inch border on the quilt or not?? It will still be used as a binding if not the border. Thank you for all of your help.
The quilt is from the book "Strip Delight" and follows the pattern 'A Little Romance' it is not the size as directed b/c I didnt have enough strips but it meets my needs. Thanks, Kyia borders borders no borders |
With the border. I like it.

I am leaning towards a border also :) What a pretty quilt love the colors

I vote for the border too... it ties it all together.
Looks gorgeous! :-) |
What a pretty quilt. Makes me think of spring. I like it with the border.
Well since I LOVE green and think you can never have too much I say Border.

Border! SO PRETTY!
I say yes!!
I like the border too..
As the border fabric is the same as some of the strips, you could add a contrasting small inner border to separate them first, although I quite like how it blends into the quilt too...I think it will look lovely either way :D
I vote for the border, too! I really like it -- the colors are great together!
Yes it looks good but i like the idea of a narrow border first :D
I agree with Izy, a thin border of some of the pink, then your green will frame it nicely.
Border..yes..definetly
if it were mine I would add a narrow border of navy blue for contrast say cut about 2 inches then the green just my thoughts
I vote for at least one border!
Please show us photos when it is finished! |

Oops! I didn't mean to post the same message twice! I didn't think the first one went through!

Thank you all for the responses. I don't have any of the pink strips left. And I didn't see it at the store. I will check Joann's today for some of the pink.
Thank you all. Kyia |
I like the green border also. Perhaps you can add a pink for the binding that isn't an exact match, but close? Binding ends up being pretty small so it's hard to tell what is going on in there anyway. :D Happy shopping.
I like the border too.
I vote for the border as well
I like it with the border too.
It's pretty, I also agree with Izy - I like the idea of two borders.
I must agree, I really like the border too. Of course, my favorite color is green!! :D

I'm giggling at your grammar. I grew up in Virginia saying "ya'll". When I went to upstate New York to visit my cousins they always laughed at me because they said "you's". I read your post and immediately knew you were from the north east. It used to crack me up when they said: "you's guys". |
That looks amazing! So cute!
I love it. You made the perfect choice!!

I like it! I like it!!!
