It looks great!!

Very patriotic, yes you did excellent! Are you using it now? Does it have enough pockets for all of the "stuff" that women tend to carry?

You did a wonderful job. They are easy, once you get through the first one, they are a breeze and you can't wait to do more. You have given me an idea to do a summer one with the patriotic theme, love it. Your quilting is awesome on the bottom half of the outside, great job!!!!!

Love your purse, your choice of colors is great, I still haven't got up the nerve to try a bag yet. Tried once, threw it away. In the future I may get my pattern out and try again, I keep seeing all the pretty bow tuck bags everyone is making and it gives me inspiration.

theifner 06-10-2010 04:29 PM

Great job. You will enjoy using it. Love your colors and quilting.

Great job and I like your quilting on the bottom piece, I'm working right now on my second Bow Tuck and I still had problem with the front pocket as I tried to sew it when you join the bottom and front piece together, for one reason it didn't look good so I ripped it and I pieced it on top like requested on the pattern. I'll post it when I finish it up

Me too! I got the pattern in the mail 2 weeks ago and I'm still looking at it.

I love the lining of this purse, just as pretty inside as the outside.

Love it littlehud. Was it hard to make?

katsewnsew 06-12-2010 04:06 PM

Great Bag! I, too, bought the Tote kit, fabric is called Cheep Talk. Haven't started it yet. Yours came out really cute!

craftybear 06-13-2010 01:31 PM

great job, thanks for sharing!

Is the bow tuck purse easy to make for a beginner, as I have never made any purses?

Up North 06-13-2010 01:41 PM

It was the first purse I ever made it is easy, just follow the directions one step at a time. They are addictive to make, I have done 4 so far and have orders for 3 more.

littlehud 06-13-2010 04:40 PM

It is very easy to make. I know I'm making more of these.

nwm50 06-13-2010 04:49 PM

It's cute! Love the fabric you picked out for it.

dungeonquilter 06-13-2010 04:53 PM

I made the smaller one for my sister. Forgot to take a picture before I sent it off. The pattern calls for a fusible batting that is rather expensive, so I just used left over batting and spray basted it. Worked like a charm. I managed to get one of the inside panels upside down, but was able to make the change, and it turned out quit nice. Now to get around to making one for myself.

littlehud 06-14-2010 07:26 AM

That's a great idea about the batting. The fusible is expensive. I'm going to try regular batting next time.
