Boxy Stars Quilt
2 Attachment(s)
Just finished this afternoon my boxy stars quilt. This is a lap size quilt. I used strips from a couple of jelly rolls and stash to make this pattern. I realized after I had it hung for pictures that a couple of the blocks are turned the wrong way. Oh well. I pieced the back with one block and several more strips plus more yardage from my stash. I really love this pattern and will definitely make another soon. The quilting was a simple meander on my DSM. That's as brave as I have gotten as far as FMQ yet.

Great quilt and I don't see any mistakes

Great quilt and the mistakes are really not noticeable.
I love it and the wrong turned blocks aren't really that noticeable and make it unique anyway!

Looks good to me.

That quilt is lovely and the maverick blocks just keep us all humble! :)
very nice..................

This looks great, gf! I never would have noticed any mistakes if you hadn't mentioned them. I'm very impressed that you're doing your own quilting.

Very pretty quilt.

Well, I really like it, I don't care what you say about turned blocks. The scrappy quality make it work great. I would be proud of this one.

I really like your quilt. I have a couple of jelly rolls that I had no idea what to do with until I saw yours. I don't see any mistakes either.
nicely done. i don't think anyone would have noticed the wrong turned blocks if you had not mentioned it.
Really nice quilt - and I don't see any mistakes! :)

Awesome quilt. When I made a small mistake in a quilt that I made (for myself) I decided that it was my "humility" mistake & stayed with that. Normally, I would have taken everything apart & fixed it but I am so trying to not be so "anal" about things. Mistakes are all part of human nature & shouldn't be taken so seriously (at least for the most part). LOL

Looks great.....

nice job!!!!!
What a great job you have done.
Beautiful. I want to copy it.
I call mistakes like that "personalizing"
Isn't that how you designed it? I love it and the colors.
Great looking Boxy Stars. Its fun to see all the variations done with the same pattern. I like the scrappy look so may need to make another one scrappy. Thanks for showing us. As to the blocks turned wrong, I don't see them so they must not be there............LOL

Very nice. I like the pattern and your color choices.
No one will ever notice. I didn't see it the boo boo and still don't. I think it is very pretty!
It took me forever to see which ones were turned the wrong way. It's absolutely not noticeable. Love the quilt. Isn't that a quiltville pattern? Love the way it turned out.
mpeters - It is a quiltville pattern. Next on my 'someday' list is her Jared Takes a Wife quilt.
