Braids and Bars
 

It's done! It's done! It's done!!!!! I worked on hand quilting it for 14 months (on and off). It is a large twin size. And it's for me! I call it braids and bars. Nothing fancy...just quilted in the ditch.

It's beautiful! Glad you get to keep it for yourself after all that hard work.

I said the same words after I quilted by DH quilt, only I worked on his 3 yrs... and now I find myself dragging my feet on working on one for DS & wife.But if I leave it up on the frame, it will get done, as I have more to hand quilt. Good work

One of the quilts that I am making from my MIL's stash is a Braids and Bars quilt. I have sewn some together but am now concentrating on cutting pieces so when I get my good machine back from the repair shop( computer board went out but it's under warranty), I can continue on it.

Thanks for sharing! I hope mine looks as good as yours although mine will be hand quilted by someone else. It is for a nephew's wedding next summer.
