A breast cancer sampler quilted by feline fanatic
4 Attachment(s)
I quilted this cute little sampler last fall but never posted pictures because at the time I didn't know how to resize them. Now I know. Additionally I am doing a little test because I just redid my settings so I want to make sure my pics come out ok.
Sunshine 666 pieced this for a friend who was undergoing chemo for breast cancer. It is done in breast cancer awareness fabrics. The batting is an 80/20 blend and it is quilted with Glide thread. Your quilting is superb. Was it freehand or done by computer. Either way your selections of patterns really complimented the quilt. You made it look like a masterpiece.

Thank you so much for your kind compliments. All my work is hand guided, no computer. The star block with the feathers was 100% freehand for the feathers except the center circle. I used a lid to a cottage cheese container to stitch the first circle and then echoed it using the hopping foot as a distance guide. I used a ruler to SID around the piecing. On this quilt I also used a curved ruler and marked with a stencil. |
Just pretty as can be, great job and thank you for sharing
