The resulting blocks you got from the panel are great. One of the most visually interesting I have ever seen. The babies will love it well into their preschool years.

Diana Lea 05-19-2013 06:20 PM

I find myself studing the bock to see what block came from what area. Two thumbs up.

You are so clever to have thought of the ISO borders. Would never have occurred to me if I lived to be 150. Wish I had your eye for the wonderfully unusual.

I don't understand "stack the fabric"

stack ... layer fabric one on top of the other, so that the design matches exactly from one layer to the other.

OH my gosh, How adorable and wonderfully bright colors and I just love it it. Can you give the name of the fabric and could you do a tute showing how you cut the panels to make the 4-patch posies. I am a visual person when it comes to stuff like this. I have a new ggrandson son who I just met last week and I have been keeping him while his mom and grandparents work and this quilt and fabric would really make him laugh. Please post the fabric name please.
BTW you did a awesome job on this.
Pat

Wonderful, just awesome and I love the 4 patch posie pattern you used.
Could you, would you, please share the name of the fabrc and please tell us or show us how you cut the panels to make the posie blocks. I made a 4-patch stacked posie quilt and I absolutley loved the process but would like to know the way to cut the panels. You have done an exceptional job on this. Love it. Thanks for sharing.

I saved the selvage and it says, " 2@245Design for Timeless Treasures Fabrics, Inc. Patt# BART-
CF9162 if that helps at all. The strip was a coordinating print from TT too.

Re the cutting of the panel: I stacked all 4 panels EXACTLY on top of each other and then cut them in a 3 1/2" grid from top to bottom, then left to right, leaving off the borders. Each "pile" of blocks has 4 - 3 1/2" squares which you then use to make one block. They can be turned in a number of ways; just make sure you have the same part of the design in the center to give the kaleidoscope effect. There are a number of tutorials on the web I am sure. If you are hesitant about cutting fabric, copy 4 coloring pages, stack and cut as above. Then play with each stack. You will get the idea. Hope this helps.

It's just adorable... I love the idea of stacking and making your blocks that way... good thinking...
