Brown/Blue HST's from Project Linus meeting
3 Attachment(s)
At our May Project Linus meeting, our coordinator asked everyone to bring several 4.5" square HST's that were blue and brown. Everyone grabbed several different blocks to come up with some cute lay-outs with them. At the end of the meeting, I was the only one interested in taking them home to create some PL quilts with them. I had just over 300 blocks and created these five quilts to be donated.

Brilliant quilts. Great way to use all those HSTs
|
Very sweet quilts....and how fun to see how quickly / easily a simple HST block can become so many different and pretty designs. They will be loved i'm sure.
|
They all are so pretty.
|
My 89 year old mother came to visit me a few days after I brought all of these blocks home. I had put together about a dozen different design options and had her sitting at a table sorting them out and pinning them for me. Although she knows how to sew, she was never a quilter. She had a blast doing this.
I still have about 20 more blocks and will need to come up with another quilt idea with them. Apparently we've had lots of donated fabrics that nobody liked. I have already made a pink and brown pinwheel quilt. Will post those pictures another day. |
Very cute!
|
Those are so sweet! Please take them to your next guild meeting to inspire everyone-perhaps they will feel compelled to create the next time! Job well done!
