"Bruised"
3 Attachment(s)
I am calling this one "Bruised". . . because the 16 year old that I made it for once told my son she liked blue purple & black because they reminded her of a bruise. I never asked for details on her reasoning behind it. However, when I went ot make the quilt. I thought she liked blue purple and green so I pulled out a batik that had those colors in it and came up with this simple design. After getting it layed out and asking ds what he thought, his only question was "where's the black", she like like blue purple and black?" I didn't want to redesign it just to add a bunch of black so I threw it in there with a small 1/2" sashing. The pebble quilting was chosen to add motion and also to give me practice on something other than stippling (Im getting pretty good a that design). All I have left to do it is add the bidding, which I have chosen to do in a 1/2" black, sew on the label and get it mailed off.
Thanks for looking. Enjoy. |
