Very nice! What a great thought: having an RV and a wonderful quilt to curl up with! I miss camping.

It looks like a very comfy camper's lap quilt to snuggle under on cool evenings.

Cute quilt - I use painters tape too - it works great for straight line and grid quilting.

How nice is that?

I have been using painter's tape for years to do straight stitching. Use it on light fabrics and use masking tape on dark fabric. Cost effective also since it can be used several times over.

What a fun quilt! I made valances for our travel trailer with the fabric with the little trailers on it. A friend used the bear fabric for some placemats for her travel trailer.

Nice quilt! I wonder though, when you quilt long lines across a quilt like that, do you sew in one direction, then sew the next line back across the quilt in the opposite direction? Do you actually sew each line one beside the other as you go or perhaps sew a few lines more widely spaced and then fill in the rest between? Not very experienced at this as you can tell, any advice appreciated.

I start in the center of the quilt and do sew each line in the opposite direction. I just line the tape up in the center and quilt lines out to one side and then back to center and out to the other side. If you do wide widths and fill in you defeat the purpose of the tape, because you would have to measure to make sure the lines were perfect as you fill in. That would involve "math" (shudder). Actually, I like math, but why bother.

What a great idea - materials are special and definitely fit where the quilt goes. Using painters tape was very inventive!
