Camping quilt
3 Attachment(s)
I made this quilt for my RV. To curl up and read with. The fabric is camping related prints. I did the quilting on my home machine using painters tape to keep the lines even.

Great job on the quilt! I never would have thought of painter's tape, thanks for the tip.

very nice!
what color of thread did you use? It seem white or light on the back, but on the front side with the different color fabrics you used, it does seem to blend well with the red, the green or the blue color. did you use invisible thread? |
I really like the quilt. My sisters camp a lot and I often thought of making them quilts for Christmas for their campers... you have inspired me. So when you say you used painter's tape, help me understand. You covered the quilt the strips of tape?

I like this , I use the painters tape for a lot of sewing helper.
|
I like the pattern, looks like it went together pretty quickly. That's always fun so you can go on to the next one.
|

|
this is really cute and sounds so inviting just to sit down and read a book and relax.. now I think I might need a vacation....lol
|
Nice quilt! I wonder though, when you quilt long lines across a quilt like that, do you sew in one direction, then sew the next line back across the quilt in the opposite direction? Do you actually sew each line one beside the other as you go or perhaps sew a few lines more widely spaced and then fill in the rest between? Not very experienced at this as you can tell, any advice appreciated.
