Funny we just finished a quilt using this as one of our focus fabrics. The pattern is very simple, but we wanted to preserve the logo. You can see it by searching on "University of Alabama quilt." Can't wait to see what you do with it.

For an OBW to be most effective you need a larger variety of colors and shapes in your print. I don't know how it would do in the stack n whack as I have not tried that.
My OBW is currently just stacked in the paper plates ready to be sewed up. The bright tropical print with navy background yielded a wide variety of different kaliediscope patterns.
You might be able to make it work, but I am skeptical.

I saw one S&W, made out of a fabric with large airplanes, with lots of space between that ii was skeptical about. While it wasnt the same look as you get with a tighter pattern, it turned out quite nice. I gueess it depends on your desired outcome. Prev post has best idea, use the mirrors to audition the blocks. Btw the pattern used 8 repeats, and more than 2 yards, so keep that in mind when choosing your pattern.

Ideally for an OBW you should have a minimum repeat of 12", and a print with none or hardly any straight lines. And not too much expanse of background colour.
In this way you achieve a variety of blocks with different shapes and interest of colour - you will not get it with this fabric.
If you have one of the One Block Wonder books the author gives guidelines and hints as to which prints/repeats are suitable, and more importantly why some are definitely unsuitable.

I suspect you could have a better fabric for that use and a better use for that fabric, but that's just my opinion.
