Did you think about trying the floral as your 1st choice next to the quilt & going from there. Just a thought.

I don't care for the white either, I prefer just the green and then the floral on the outside.

I would not use the white border cause it takes away from the center that you have worked so hard on
I would use the floral next to the green so that the main part of the quilt stands out. I thank that you have worked to hard to just over crowd your work. |
I would leave the white border out of choices. I think it would detract from the lovely center.

I just thought of something....Pin one border on one side, then pin the other choice on the other side. Hang it up for a couple of days & see which one grabs you the most. I've had to walk away from a quilt & do that a couple times & I'm glad I did. I've also learned to go with my first instinct & not always someone elses!

Thank you all for you good suggestions, I guess I did not wait long enough the read many suggestion of not using the white border, but I did.
All together, I am not happy with the color choices. The reason for this quilt was to use the floral fabric, which I did not use enough of, in this quilt. I am not happy with the bright yellow, mostly, the white border......... but it is done,not sure if when I will be able or want to quilt it. Maybe I need time to get used to it or it might go to UFO pile, or will auction it? thank you again, to you all ps since I can not add picture here, I will start new thread |
