border 2 with white
I like the white.
I just thought of something....Pin one border on one side, then pin the other choice on the other side. Hang it up for a couple of days & see which one grabs you the most. I've had to walk away from a quilt & do that a couple times & I'm glad I did. I've also learned to go with my first instinct & not always someone elses!
It is perfect the way you have it in the picture.
I like the white.. alot. It makes a nice definition and ties nicely to the white in the quilt.
I think white border 1st.
I think white border instead of green. I would then put the green, then the floral. Just my opinion.
I like this one the best...
I think white, green and then floral. Just my opinion.
It's so pretty, I'm sure whatever you choose for your borders will look lovely.
liikey like !!!!!
I agree with floral next and bind in gold.
Yes, white, green and then floral will be lovely! Lovely quilt - am looking closely at pattern as I have one to do for a great grandchild due in May, but didnt want a 'baby' one!
thank you for your suggestions, I will be looking at it for a day or so ........, the reason I am trying to add a 2 or even 3rd narrow border to make the quilt bigger, but since it is a square quilt it really does not matter it will not be big enough for a full size bed anyway. will most likely give it to one of the kids in the family.
thank you again |
I would do green, then floral and bind with gold! So many good choices. They are all great...just a matter of preference.
I think # 2 looks best to me!
I'll suggest that you have the green or gold next to the center and then scrappy and then green or gold and the wider floral on the outside.
I do not like the white as a border...that's just my opinion. If that scrappy border is already attached, then I prefer pic #1. |
I agree with jingle, white then green and then floral. Sandy64
I like the first one!
Please show us again after you finish it! :) |
number 2!!!!!!
I would put the white, green and then the floral. Very pretty!
I dont care for the white. I like the green and then the floral. Just sayin!
I also like white, green & then floral. It is a very nice quilt.
I really really like the green, gold, print option. To me it gives the perfect finishing touch.
My second choice would be just the green and use the gold for binding. For some reason the white just doesn't seem to fit in the border. Not sure why I don't like it. |
I like the second photo. Very pretty!
I like #2 a lot. can't wait to see it when it's finished.
I like the green then the floral fabric. With the yellow in between these two colours all I look at is the yellow.
I like #1 the best. I think it brings out all the colors the best.
ok I like either 2 or 3 not one; the tan does nothing for the quilt. I really like 2 but if you're going for bigger and need more borders then 3.
I like border 2 with the white - it unifies the quilt from what might otherwise look like you just stuck border on a quilt. Gives it a nice pop of attention! Nicely done!
I like the green alone, bind with the gold.
Love #1 :)
I also think white border first, then the green then the floral.
I also like the white border
I like #2. Don't care for the white, it kinda stops the quilt's progression. It's a very pretty quilt but there is enough white in it already. If you want it even wider #1 works well also.
The second picture looks great to me. I don't hardly see how you can go wrong with any of your choices.
I like #2!!!
