I don't see anything amiss. Am I missing something?

All mistakes are part of the quilt...Thats what makes it home made and original.....Although I dont see it. Its very nice....

I love the piano keys border. I think you will be more satisfied if you fix it. Your eye will always be drawn to your "mistake/creative license/artistic bent" whatever you wish to call it. Because the keys change direction, the eye stops there and doesn't continue around the quilt. Your border with the color selection makes this quilt wonderful.
Let us know what you decide. Cheryl |
I don't see it either. You know if we don't see it then technically it doesn't exist.

Very cool lookin' quilt, but I'd fix that section.

I don't see anything wrong with it either. Looks great to me!!

I agree with Grannie Annie in that I saw sme of the pinwheel solid darks /lights were turned opposite of the rest then you posted the pic of the keys.
Yes, I would change it. It would drive me nuts, would be the only thing I would see when looking at the quilt, and since my eye stops there, I don't see the rest of the quilt like one should. Otherwise it is a great quilt. As far as the Amish and leaving one mistake because only God is perfect, is very true but most of us would never be able to identify their mistakes even when pointed out to us because their work is so precise. |
With all the work that went into creating the border, I would have to fix it. My eyes would always see it and I would have a hard time enjoying the finished product. Selling it would also be hard to do because I wouldn't be able to because of the mistake.
By the way I do love the colors and the design elements you have in this. Is it for someone special or is it a "I just had to try this" quilt? |
