Thank you all for the nice comments I appreciate them. The Moda Simplicity is my favorite line too I also have the Simplicity Quilt pattern to do too after I finish my WIP's. Cassie is over today and watching me work on the applique for the borders she wants to take it home today. Not sure Nana is that quick..lol.

It's great when grown ups compliment your quilts, but 2 1/2, now that's a high opinion right there. She already knows her stuff, probably a future quilter, nana. This nana has a budding quilter too. She hugs fabrics and says she loves them. You can hear the "quilter" in their breathy comments and see the sparkle in their eyes as they lovingly touch the fabrics. Yup, they learn what they live and we're teaching them right. It is such a pretty quilt. I love stories like these. Tell us all about her reaction when it's ready to go home! :D

I was making this D9P with some charms that a friend gave me last year just to see what all the excitement was about with this pattern and the fabric was free. My friend told me I put the squares in the wrong direction but she loved the pattern it made...go figure.

I have never made a D9P..in fact never heard one one until got on this site, but I just went to a tutorial someone posted here on one right before this thread. In this particular tutorial, it didnt seem as though there was a right or wrong way?? Said make 9 patch, but in four and arrange the way you want? So are there some that are more of a pattern?

Sorry for all the questions...am newbie.
