I put this quilt on the frame this morning then was downstairs doing stuff and thought to take a picture of it. THIS is what I found when I walked into the room and THIS is why the doors are always shut!

sueisallaboutquilts 12-19-2010 01:48 PM

Now tell me why you would shut out that sweet little thing??
Can't you tell it's a great bed???????? LOL :D:D:D

QazyQltr 12-19-2010 01:48 PM

Close up inspection of quilting?? :-)

carolaug 12-19-2010 01:49 PM

Love it!!!!! that is my kind of kitty!

GraceyFaas 12-19-2010 01:49 PM

And the problem is??? That looks like another cat with attitude. BTW, what I see of the quilt is awesome.

pookie ookie 12-19-2010 01:50 PM

lol I don't blame kitty. It's clearly designed for quilt inspection.

fleurdelisquilts.com 12-19-2010 01:52 PM

We have several cats who live between the shed and back porch. If I forget to close the door to the studio--it's separate from the house--they all sneak in! And I sneeze for days after. Oreo looks just like this one.

Lynnie25 12-19-2010 01:54 PM

Isn't this why we make the quilts ??? To cuddle into or lie on top or underneath. Kitty has the right idea. :)

pojo 12-19-2010 01:58 PM

I don't see a problem either it is showing the love of the quilt the cat loves it.

The cat is protecting it too.

Rebecca VLQ 12-19-2010 01:59 PM

nativetexan 12-19-2010 02:00 PM

yep, i have three of those!! they can't stand closed doors but their hair gravitates in my sewing room anyway.

sherriequilts 12-19-2010 02:01 PM

You simply CANNOT keep the quilt police out. They don't even have to have a search warrant!

pittsburgpam 12-19-2010 02:07 PM

Maybe she is getting back at me for putting that sweater on her. ;)

This quilt was done 10 years ago and I tied it. It's foundation pieced on muslin and at that time the only thing I did was hand quilting. I wasn't going to do that with the foundation. I took out the ties and used new batting.

plainjane 12-19-2010 02:17 PM

You can't be mad at that sweet face!

sueisallaboutquilts 12-19-2010 02:27 PM

Oh it's THAT cat?????
Well, now I see she's getting even with you!
But I bet she'd be there even if you didn't
put the outfit on her LOL :D
I know cats all too well.............

Ritacarl 12-19-2010 02:31 PM

At first look your cat looks just like my Charlie. He helps me sew. He sits on my lap while I sew. He seems to sense I am getting a backache and comes and wants up. I have to be in a different position while sewing with him on my lap and my backache goes away. He is quit a guy!

Fayelh 12-19-2010 02:54 PM

I can't fault that photo, love cats.....

TymeToShine 12-19-2010 03:10 PM

Reminds me of a cat we had years ago when I made my first quilt.

hannajo 12-19-2010 03:22 PM

It must be an awfully comfy quilt!

pab58 12-19-2010 03:52 PM

From the look on your kitty's face, I would leave it right where it is!! That face seems to be saying, "You got a problem with me? Come on.......just you try and move me!"

Why is it our furbabies always seem to gravitate toward our quilts and fabrics? My two cuties would have done the exact same thing!! :D Gotta love 'em!!

CarrieAnne 12-19-2010 03:53 PM

She is SO cute!

gaigai 12-19-2010 03:54 PM

I don't see a problem here, so I'm not sure what your complaint is about. :P In my world, the greatest quilt in the world isn't as important as a cat. I wouldn't trade one or even ALL of the quilts at Quilt Fest for one of my babies.

Oh......NOW it all makes perfect sense!!! Bet you won't try that again, will ya!?  You know what they say: What goes around, comes around!! 8-)

BTW: I would love to see your quilt when it's finished. It looks beautiful!

IrishNY 12-19-2010 03:58 PM

I have to keep the door to my sewing room closed at all times. We have one cat who thinks my LA frame is a cat hammock. He loves to snuggle on the quilt in between the bars.

Vanuatu Jill 12-19-2010 04:11 PM

Way I look at it, if it's good enough for a cat, it's good enough for any human! That is good testimony if the cat's comfy!

Iluv2quilt 12-19-2010 04:17 PM

LOL! Would love to see the rest of the quilt tho, it's beautiful!

nursie76 12-19-2010 04:21 PM

Oh that is so cute! I have three that take turns on the "quilt hammock" when I have a quilt on the frame...gotta love em

It's only the beginning on getting even with you!

cctx. 12-19-2010 04:58 PM

Cute!

miss_ticky2 12-19-2010 05:00 PM

Ha...I have 3 that would do exactly the same thing...lol

117becca 12-19-2010 05:23 PM

that's where i find my cat, too!!! Silly girl!!!

Boscobd 12-19-2010 06:31 PM

Smart cat! She knows where the comfy places are!

skydiver70 12-19-2010 06:40 PM

That sweet baby is only checking to see if the quilt will be warm enough to sleep under or should I say..sleep on.

Love the cats and you will never know what they will do next.

My baby is asleep on my bed as I sit here.

kbs 12-19-2010 06:44 PM

Hey, he's just trying it out.

Toto's Mom 12-19-2010 06:45 PM

Well, how did my Lulu get to your house??? She has a real attitude and has been known to kill quilting projects around here by simple sabotage. Looks JUST like Lulu.....attitude and all!!

As you can see by the pics my cat thinks if its new in here then she has to be on it. I don't care what quilt iit is Tabby or my boston terrier Cookie are on it. So I have given up trying to keep them off them I just take their pic so I can get a laugh from time to time...

meinreno 12-19-2010 07:59 PM

This cat know a good thing when it sees it.

Mad Gertie 12-20-2010 03:50 AM

:DHi,"THAT CAT" as you call it, is paying you back for squeesing it into that horrid jumper the other day. Well done Kitty, I like it !!!
We have a black cat , she is beautiful, I wouldn't dream of putting her in clothing, she would probably pull me to shreads !!!!

Have a happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year,
Mad Gertie from Kent

ktmo815 12-20-2010 04:34 AM

My cats think my frame is their rest area too :-D

Flo Pierce 12-20-2010 05:05 AM

Love that cat. AND THE QUILT TOO. It is amazing how many
of us have a beautiful cat to always impose themselves in the
middle of our quilts. I love both.
