Beautiful quilt. I think you win the prize for perseverance! Not many of us would spend 20 years on a project, even one as gorgeous as this one.

Absolutely beautiful. One of the prettiest I've seen. I can imagine the joy you're experiencing since finishing this monumental task. The time and effort were surely worth it. The results are magnificent. I love your color choices. I have this on my bucket list. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful. Would you consider selling the pattern?

Cathedral Windows is a traditional pattern that doesn't need to be sold or bought.

Start with a fabric square, fold the corners in, press. Fold the corners in again, press again. Tack the corners in place. Attach the side of one to the side of another. Where the two squares meet, you place a smaller square. "Turn" the background fabric back over the smaller square to "frame" it, stitch that in place – which should go through the smaller square as well.

It does take forever to do large ones. It's a fantastic "work on it forever" project.
It's not very sparing of fabric, but you can be very stingy with thread.

This quilt has been in the making for almost 20 years and is finally finished. My mother-in-law, who had made at least three of these quilts (queen size, no less) taught me how to do them in the early 1990's. Well, I got bored and lost interest - they are very labor intensive. I worked on it on and off through the years and decided that this year I was going to keep at it until it was finished. It really came out nice (the fabrics are much prettier than they look in the photos) and I am glad I made it but I won't make another. Hope you enjoy seeing it.

I've never seen a cathedral window done in a narrow color palette. This is beautiful.
