There always has to be someone or in this case something to blame .....
I'm trying tooooo hard to master the stipple quilting on the borders of this quilt .... I know the tension is there, but haven't yet worked out how to ease it Oh dear I didn't realise that I had shrunk the photos to the midget size :oops: It is made using furnishing samples from my sister Claire's stash - she kindly gave me some to play with. Teresa--I hope you can make your pics a little bigger so that we can see them better. Your mom is going to love her quilt!!!!
If the stippling is causing you so much angst, then why don't you try a simpler pattern? Just some straight line quilting in a diamond pattern, for example. Are your arm and shoulder any better? |
Those are tiny pictures and my eyes are old. I'm sure it is wonderful.

This is a better size
As for the elbow - I have done 2/3 of the way around the quilt only on the outer border, and am not going to unpick again. This quilt has seen too many trials of quilting for my liking.
