Celtic Appliqué Table Runner

Not long ago, someone showed some celtic appliqué here on the board. I'd never seen that kind before and was intrigued. After googling it, I decided to try it. Here's what I created - will be a Christmas gift. Thanks for looking!

I don't know what "celtic bias bars" are - I just used ordinary bias tape I made myself. I learned how to do celtic appliqué from this webpage: http://www.mccallsquilting.com/patte...html?idx=15044

It may have been my recent runner that inspired you to try this technique and I am so happy that has happened! I have used bias bars as well as a couple of other techniques and they each have their pros and cons. If you want to PM me, I would be happy to pass on a few tips and tricks. By the way, your machine quilting is lovely and is much more adventurous than anything I do. kdoublea
