Absolutely beautiful!! You do great work. It's nice to see men enjoying this wonderful hobby. Funny.....my husband is a carpenter by trade, and he keeps putting his nose in my sewing room and is itching to try his hand at piecing and quilting. I'm going to show him your quilts for inspiration. Thanks for sharing.

I had gone to a quilt show years back with my wife and sisterinlaw and was very impressed with the creative designs I saw and and developed an appreciation for the work as I paid more attention to the work my wife was doing. She got me started by getting me to make plexiglass templates in my shop and then helping her cut, the rest came quickly when I found a deal on a midarm complete with stand rollers panotgraphs etc. The rest is history. Not a great picture but it is my first quilt

Celtic Dawn - fantastic quilt. and the Red white black quilt is stunning, too. Way to go.

mudsprite 03-14-2010 02:10 PM

Amazing quilts -just amazing but I must say I am most impressed with the manner in which you hung them.

I have to go back and look again.....I think my fav is the second quilt as I have red and black star blocks quilt to finish and need alternating blocks for completion....13 in all. Your pattern and use of color is fantastic. WOW.

Tell us more...................please. Have a similiar pattern with
directions that are non-existant from a book of blocks. Is
your pattern for Christmas quilt from book or purchased please?

Again - love the use of the pole and clamps.

jljack 03-14-2010 02:14 PM

Love both of them, Smitty!! Another guy!! Cool...my DH posts on here and is a quilter too. PapaJohn.

mudsprite 03-14-2010 02:18 PM
