I have been Machine quilting for a few years and recently (about 4 Months) ago decided to try my hand at my own start to finish quilts. Hope you like. the 1st is my attempt at a Celtic style. The Second is a smaller quilt I made for my wife for Christmas.

Smitty you are really doing a beautiful job with your quilts. Nice work! I have to confess, I just love that star quilt. I am working on one myself this week.
|
will you please teach my husband to sew like that so he can make me a quilt?
|
I am really taken back by so many replies. I am also surprised by the amount men that I have met at some of the shows that have gotten into quilting. My wife and site inlaws say I get my talents from my Carpentry skills, Machine and trades experience but I like to think I'm just a newbee at this as I see soooo many real peices of work that are serious work. Thanks this is a driver for me to keep going.

Beautiful job on both quilts, and Welcome from Texas!!!

It's been said before - but I'll say it again - WOW! Fabulous, fabulous quilts. Welcome.

I've been machine quilting, and machine binding and reparing old quilt for a few years but only started peicing and sewing about 4 or 5 months ago. I am retired and turned a portion of the basement into a sewing area and decided I'd give it a go. I've completed 7 quilts all in the queen size. I started another Celtic design yesterday but it will be only 48x48. I should have it in a few and will post when done. Thanks to all for the kind words
