...from what I've read, practice makes perfect!!! You're on your way....

I've got one like that. I tried a different technique in 6 inch sections. It looks kinda...cavepaintinglike?

Heck, when you're done bind that sucker and take it with you on picnics! Or fourth of july fireworks!

a great first practice piece! I have a feeling a lot of them look like that with quilting on every square inch of that first sandwich! The new lighting stitch regulator is so responsive, I tested it at the MQX. It is the reason I got such a great deal on my Innova. The dealer needed to upgrade to the new SR so I got their demo with the old SR. I am still happy as a clam to have it though!

You will be doing a great job on your own quilts in no time whatsoever! I got mine last summer but didn't start using it in earnest until October/November. The more you do the better you get!

Looks like you are having fun.

Looks like FUN!! Keep it up! :)

Don't finish it up - when I got my machine and filled up the first practice piece I just laid another piece of fabric on top and started all over again. I think my practice piece had four layers and was so stiff eventually it could have walked! BUT each layer was better than the one before.

We have all be told practice makes perfect and the rate you are going, you will get there soon. Good luck and hope you are having loads of fun. Cannot wait to see your first quilt being quilted
