I made this quilt for a shop sample. Each block is supposed to demonstarte a different technique. I used Kaffe and AMy Butler fabrics because they are my favorite. I quilted it trying a few different things as well.

I didn't do anything spectacular.....I just used a peice of scrappy leftover binding for the stem folded it in half twice for the stem. The center of that flower is a yo-yo that I stuffed with batting. The petals I just free handed them on some fusible..then fused those down on my block for refernces. Then I cut petals from fabric sewed them RST leaving an opening at the bottom and turned them inside out and arranged them how I wanted them and then sewed them down. I used my INKTENSE colored pencils to shade the flower in how I wanted them. INktense colored pencils are for fabric and they are permenent dye so you don't have to use anything else on the. Very nice...kind of spendy.
