Charisma's Hope Quilt
5 Attachment(s)
I bought the Tula Pink "Love" pattern. But changed the word Love to Hope.
It's my middle name and also my daughter's. We both made a Hope quilt. But she quilted hers the same weekend we made them. :) I Knew I would need time. Each quadrant of the quilt signifies something important that I feel pertains to hope....and I was so inspired to quilt it in a way that it tells that story of hope. I am a freehand quilter. No computer. But I did use rulers. :) Thanks for letting me share.....I hope you all have a wonderful night! Many blessings. |
You have such a amazing talent! I love to see your name in a heading because I know I'm going to see something breathtaking!

GREAT quilting and quilt, I really like it!
Please tell me HOW do you sew so many pebbles and not go nuts?? |
How do you mark your quilting? How do you decide on what and where to quilt? This is probably my most favorite quilt that I have seen of yours..

Kirsten I marked this with a blue water soluable pen. I try to only mark registration marks...but because of the big rays ..I did have to mark those ahead of time. I also marked out my blocks because I needed to get the math right and I didn't want to be stuck while it was on the frame..so I did mark those out as well. As far as how do I know what to quilt where? I can't ever answer that in a way to help anyone? I wish I could. I sketch things out sometimes it takes me months to figure it out ( if it's a special project like this one). I am a doodler and daydreamer by nature...and things swirl in my mind constantly. While things are swirling if I can match them to my projects I try to do that.....in this projects each element has a meaning for me which I explained on my blog. My blog address is in the signature of my post. I am not sure I can post it.:) I hope that helps you. |

This is absolutely beautiful. I have been looking for a way that I can incorporate some of my deceased father ties into a quilt and seeing what you have done has given me some wonderful ideas.
