Chiclets Quilt

2 Attachment(s)
I made this from the free online Chiclets quilt pattern using squares I received in the "candy" exchange here on the board. The second picture shows some of the motif FMQ I'm trying to branch out into.

Here is a link to the pattern if anyone is interested.

I have made this pattern several times. It's one of my favorite scrappy quilts.

Quiltngolfer 11-21-2013 07:02 AM

Very pretty scrap quilt, and your quilting is looking great too. Thanks for the link to the free pattern. I love it when people do that.

Lisa_wanna_b_quilter 11-21-2013 07:06 AM

Thank you for all the nice comments. I am pretty happy with how this quilt turned out and can certainly see improvement in my FMQ. Everyone that keeps saying it takes practice is right!

The backing is a thrift store sheet from the 50 cent bin. It seemed to go with this quilt.

Pretty quilt.

WMUTeach 11-22-2013 07:32 AM

Giggle, Giggle, I am using the same pattern, Chiclets, to use up my "Sweet Treat" 2.5 squares. It is so much faster than I expected. Like your version. I am looking for some of my squares in you work but, silly me I don't remember which color set I sent to whom!

Carol34446 11-22-2013 08:25 AM

Beautiful quilt, and love the pattern, but oh boy what patients working with such small squares. Great job quilting.

Mrs Finch 11-22-2013 08:31 AM

Free pattern download reads like it requires HST Whiz Kid. Do we really and if not how is it done?

GrammaNan 11-22-2013 10:08 AM

What a pretty scrappy quilt. You're doing great with your FMQ and thanks for sharing the link.

CyndyK 11-22-2013 10:20 AM

I love your Chiclets quilt! So pretty. You did a great job with the colors.

solstice3 11-22-2013 01:03 PM

That is an awesome quilt

Lisa_wanna_b_quilter 11-22-2013 01:45 PM

Sheri, yes the FMQ was marked with a template. I can't draw anything!

Beksclen, the points one the squares are made with HST triangles. Everything else is 2.5 inch squares from the candy swap.

marla 11-22-2013 02:18 PM

Love the front and the back. Good job.
