I love this quilt. I wouldn't give the points another thought! I look at each quilt as a snapshot of what I'm capable of at a given time. I rarely will rip apart more than a seam or two, rather just do my best and pin and press as best as I can. I try to learn from every quilt, then move on. Your niece will love this quilt for many years- just be happy with that, and look forward to your next project. Blessings, Kris

You did a great job of the quilt..........points or no points. Love the checked fabric and the great quilted swirls. They add so much interest. She will love it.

Well it's absolutely beautiful and the quilt police can just stay away!

A lot of points were sacrificed in the making of this quilt...lol. It's a pattern called Chicopee Square. It calls for a faster way of making flying geese. I must not have measured 1/4" correctly or maybe cut them wrong. But, I ended up with some that had the appropriate 1/4" above the point & a lot that didn't. That made piecing it not much fun. Although, I do think it came out pretty. My niece Ashley doesn't know anything about quilting, so she probably won't notice (fingers crossed).

Fabulous - kudos!!!

Great choice of fabric. The checked fabric just adds so much design to the quilt.

The gingham really sets this off, a perfect frame for your blocks. Great quilting, too!
