For everyone worried about the blue, the color in the photo is not accurate--the blue is really a dark purple that is less discordant. I'll post pictures after the final cut and seam. I really appreciate all the support I've received during this project which has been a real challenge for me!

I don't know about chop and sew, but I love the fabrics!

WOW!!!

The blue/purple actually is your "pop" color. I think it is ideal for your chop and sew. Can't wait to see pictures.

They are lovely. what is a CHOP AND SEW?

Here are the final pictures after the last cut-and-seam. I'm feeling good about how they turned out! Now, I need to decide about sashing and binding. Right now I'm thinking about a combination of black and a dark, but bright, green. I'd appreciate any feedback. I think this is going to turn out to be a wall hanging.

Wonderful combination of colors.

Colors look great together

Great choices.

I really like it - I looked at the tutorial and I was a little intimidated but you did it. Are you going to add decorative stitches - like a crazy quilt? I think it will be a very nice wallhanging. Good job.

The tutorial was pretty easy to follow. If I were going to do it again, I'd follow the instructions and start with larger squares than I did so I'd be able to get a full fabric rotation. It bugs me a little that I wasn't able to get one of each fabric in all the blocks. I thought about decorative stitching, too, but...I don't think I want to try by machine because some of the seam intersections are really thick and I know I don't want to do them by hand :)

Love how the purple just popped your blocks. Very lovely. Black sashing will look very nice. Can't wait to see the quilt when you finish it.
|
Love it.

I'm feeling good about it, too. Won't be able to work on the sashing and borders until the end of July, but will post more pictures as I make progress. I really appreciate all the feedback and support you guys have given me!

I THINK EVERY BLOCK NEEDS A SPLASH OF THAT BRIGHT BLUE/PURPLE FABRIC IT MAKES YOUR BLOCKS SING

CAN'T YOU JUST DIVE IN AND START FABRIC SWIMMING
|
Looks like it'll be a fun quilt.

Love those fabrics together!
