Christening Gift
 

My eldest grand daughter is being Christened on Sunday so have made this cot quilt as a keepsake gift for her. I have a second to do for my youngest grand daughter who will be Christened on 1st June. Isabella's mum loves sparkly things so I used Fairy Frost fabric for the bulk of the quilt. It looks all glittery and just the kind of thing little girls love. I did the back in the pink fairy frost. I think I will make Olivia's in the the same fabric but holly red and white. [ATTACH=CONFIG]475284[/ATTACH] Isabella posed for some photographs today on her new quilt. She had a lovely ceremony and we all enjoyed lots of nice food afterwards. I think mum liked the quilt!
(I did the embroidery on my janome 12000. I'm still very much on the beginners slope as car as embroidery and the capabilities of this machine are concerned. Lol TBH I'm still on the beginners slopes for the whole quilting thing !)

She is wearing her Daddy's Christening gown and also the same little baby jacket that her aunt (nearly 36), daddy, two younger uncles and 15 year old aunt wore on their first journey home from hospital. I was so chuffed that despite its age it was still as Snow White as when I knitted it all those years ago. (She's not wearing it in the pic though)
