Okay, I took everyone's comments from yesterdays post on the Christmas Candlequilter star and made the recommended change and have came up with this. I was really amazed because I used the assembly line sewing process on this instead of doing one block at a time and boy did it ever save me time. Plus I cut all of my fabric squares or triangles to use first and then it was just a matter of sewing them down. Alot quicker and alot less ripping out stitches. I think after I finish quilting it I will put a green binding on it. But first before I can do any of that I have alot of paper to remove still.
Thanks for looking, Sherryl Candlequilter Christmas Candlequilter Star tablerunner The darker white spots are where I have removed the paper so far |

That turned out just lovely, Sherryl! But then we all knew it would! I am still going to get a block done haven't been doing any sewing the last couple of weeks. I am about to get started back at it though. Still haven't got the smaller pattern you e-mailed to me to print out right.

Sherryl,
It is beautiful. I am so sorry I could not figure out how to do this block. I am hoping Joannes will have a paper piecing class and then I can re:visit this block. I will eventually learn how to be able to make it. The green border will make it shine. thanks... |
Beautiful! You did a great job! I like the green for binding too.
