This was a new technique for me....Strip Cutting (I think it's called)
Turned out better than I thought it would. And...with the recent help I've had in here...quilting and seams went like a charm. Thanks to all for your input. Just a close up of the fabric I used. Christmas Checkers Runner |

I love checkerboard-style patterns. And your fabric choices really make it eye-catching.
WOW ! Great job on matching up the pieces  Just like an old pro

Looks great. you did a fantastic job of matching.
Great job! I really like the colors.
That's really cute!
I love your runner, nice work! Are you hooked on the strip piecing now? Makes it so easy.
i like that. maybe I'll actually make a game to replace our old one, and let granddaughter help :D
Nice job! Look at you go! Make more!
No, I'm not hooked....yet :)
My next project is going to be crazy quilting with all sorta of scraps that I have left over...just to see if I can do it. I don't want to the same thing twice. The more ways I learn, the more I'll find my "niche". I figure, by doing crazy, I'll learn to sew all sorts of pieces: rectangles, triangles, 1/4 triangles, 1/2 triangles, squares, and other various shapes Thanks to all for your compliments. Tracy |
Hey if you make it bigger, you could make a checkerboard mat for checkers! Great job!
