I love this idea and your results. My Mom lived in a facility that allowed them to hang anything within three feet of their doorways and it was so fun seeing what the residents prized. Some had been great oil or watercolor artists, some quilters, others cross-stitch experts etc. As she moved into assisted living they had a smaller area, but it allowed residents to identify which door was theirs, for those starting to get dementia. Once in the medical center/nursing home area, we moved Mom's calendar quilts into her room, but it was sad to see when she couldn't remember to change them out anymore.

This is a great door hanging for your mom. When my mom was is assisted living it was always fun to look at the various units that has door hanging or other designs. I am sure it will hit the spot.

It's beautiful! My mom lived in assisted living for the last 2 years of her life, which were so much more rewarding than had she lived at home. She always had beautiful things on her door and right outside of her doorway. We always joked that everyone else had to up their decorating game to keep up with her!

That is absolutely precious. It's would win the best decorated door in my book! You did a great job on it & I know your mom will just love it & be proud to tell others that you made it. Well done!
