I bought the black and white notebooks at WalMart at the beginning of school. They were 25Cents each. One of the ladies in our Bee demonstrated how to make the cover. The cover is removable and can be washed if necessary. I will look for the pattern to share if anyone is interested.

I too would like the pattern.

Someone mentioned that maybe they could use it for a book cover and it reminded me that when my kids were in elementary school and had to cover their textbooks, I used to make them covers out of fabric. I did exactly like one made out of a brown bags but sewed the top and bottom of each end that slid onto the front and back covers. They lasted all year and the kids could pick out fabric that reflected their interests. I used to like making them each year.

I really love your journal covers! The idea is wonderful for a secret pal gift. I wish I had journaled all of my quilts I gave away.
My sister sent me a photo album covered like this some 20 years ago. I still have it. There were little ribbon ties on it to hold it closed though.

twinkie 10-05-2010 02:51 PM
