Christmas Items for the family room

4 Attachment(s)
I have had these finished a few weeks but didn't have the time to show and tell. My new dark tables needed something for the holidays. So I made this runner to brighten up the room.

The tree will hang onto a door to the computer desk and will get the little quilt hanger ornaments I am working on.

I hope you girls like them. The tree was a paper pieced pattern I bought at ebay. The last pic is showing the corner hanger sleeve that you put a dowel into to hang it. There is one on either end of the top. I should have pressed them where they have been folded up in a drawer. But, I hope you look past the creases. LOL!

Nice projects. You are way ahead of the game.

RedGarnet222 07-24-2015 11:28 AM

Thank you ladies! I really had the devil of a time with the tree. I have done very little pp'ing.

QUILTNMO 07-24-2015 02:57 PM

Like your projects, in fact I too have the fabric in your table runner .............

joyce888 07-25-2015 06:39 AM

Very nice. I'm going to do the corner pockets for a dowel rod at the BOTTEM of my wall hangings. Some of them are light enough not to want to hang flat and straight.

RedGarnet222 07-25-2015 08:24 AM

Thank you so much everyone! I value your opinions, after all you gals see tons of projects all the time.

calla .. I loved using every inch of "our" fabric. I sent a quilt to the silent auction last year with the houses on it. These were left over blocks I couldn't let go to waste.

joyce... That is a great idea! I love this board, so much information to glean.

Good for you - working on Christmas in July! I'll be doing it at the last minute. Nice work.

MargeD 07-25-2015 10:01 AM

Congratulations on making a head start on Christmas. Both quilts are really nice.

crafty pat 07-25-2015 10:12 AM

Those are so pretty. You have a very good start. I need to get started on my gifts.

RedGarnet222 07-25-2015 11:16 AM

Thank you girls! I am working on Christmas gifts for my sister in laws now. I bought sports fabrics and have started there purses. It was so fun to shop for the fabrics.

Sync 07-25-2015 12:18 PM

Nice your ahead of the game. They certainly will make the mood very festive

Rennie 07-25-2015 12:42 PM

Is that a pattern for the Christmas Tree - or just your creativity. Love them both!

RedGarnet222 07-25-2015 02:34 PM

Thanks so much!

Rennie ... I can't remember exactly the name of it, because I gave the rest of the pattern away to a gal who wanted to make one. (there are two in each package) A little bit bigger tree? I think. But, I went onto ebay and found a pattern by the same manufacturer. Here is the link to that one...

Mine was not a kit, just the papers inside it. I pulled from my stash to make this one.

Maybe if you want one like mine, this is where to start with the name of the company.

RedGarnet222 07-25-2015 02:42 PM

Ah Ha! I found it on another site for you. It is called a little bit shorter tree.

The ornament pattern is there too to decorate it.

matraina 07-25-2015 03:18 PM
