Thank you, gals...now I need to find a new idea for next year...

Judith1005 01-22-2016 06:25 AM

Oh, how pretty!!! You do mini's like no one else. They look so pretty displayed on your tree.

soozieQ 01-22-2016 06:54 AM

They are amazing minis, such perfect piecing.

Kathy T. 01-22-2016 07:52 AM

A-w-w-h! Those are just too cute altogether on the tree.

lynnie 01-22-2016 09:48 AM

a lot of tiny points so perfectly done!

janRN 01-22-2016 09:49 AM

Love them, OK and they look so cute on the tree. Do you bind your minis--looks like you do. Do you ever "birth" them to cut down on the thickness of the edges. (Now that you converted me to minis I have lots of questions!)

ManiacQuilter2 01-22-2016 10:48 AM

What cute miniature quilts you made that look great hanging on a Christmas tree.

BrendaK 01-22-2016 11:04 AM

Love them. BrendaK

What an outstanding display! I love minis and want to make them all! Really looking forward to retirement in the next couple of years. Then perhaps I can be as passionate as you seem to be!

What a lovely way to decorate a Christmas tree.

Did your family get to choose which they would like or did you pre-determine that to avoid arguments?

QuiltnNan 01-22-2016 01:21 PM

very nicely done... my fav is the cardinal

Jan I bind even the small ornaments...birthing ones this small distorts the corners so much and it's hard to get a big enough open seam to pull them through....

I love it when there's another mini maker.....

Thanks....2 of the kids were home at Christmas, the other 2 not...so oldest picked first, then 2nd oldest, then DD and DDIL picked for the other 2. Each family got 2, so the rotation restarted...the "Faith" one was reserved for a school fundraiser later this month, so the navy whirligig is left for me.

What a great idea. Love it.

copycat 01-23-2016 04:35 AM

All turned out sew pretty!

QuiltE 01-23-2016 06:39 AM

Another splendid display of your minis, OKSGlad!
As for next year, I am sure that your family would be quite content to have you repeat this another year. All treasures for them to have and hold.

A different suggestion for next year. Let those not present IRL, be part of the choosing and rotation. I am sure your kids in attendance can handle the technology so that those at a distance can see and participate and really feel a part of the selection process.

Another impressive OKSGlad Christmas ... now to start filling the pickle jar with more itty-bittys!
Only eleven months and two days to go!!!!! :)

oksewglad 01-23-2016 06:54 AM

Thanks QE..yes I thought of remote gifting after the fact, too....I used lots of my pickle jar 9p in a big mini I put together...waiting to have it LA...

QUILTNMO 01-23-2016 07:51 AM

Thanks Jane....probably some of your pieces in these:)..it was interesting to see which were picked first..I thought DGD#1 would want the FG that's purple and gold as she picked the strip and border fabrics, but that's heading to MA.

msrosecooks 01-23-2016 08:29 AM

Nice work and the display is cool too!!!!!

angelmama22 01-23-2016 09:39 AM

Wow! That's a lot a mini quilts you completed. I'm in awe!!! Very nice job.

annette1952 01-23-2016 10:23 AM

They are all just so cool. I love them on the tree. I really like the mini's but I have a hard time with little pieces. I just need to be more patient I guess. Yours are so perfect. Do you still use a 1/4" on them or do you use less than 1/4" ? I bet everyone loved them

MargeD 01-23-2016 11:14 AM

What awesome Christmas tree ornaments, truly beautiful.

DebbieS 01-23-2016 01:12 PM

I use a 1/4" seam..trying anything smaller is tough for me to be accurate...and then gets pulled into the bobbin abyss...

Thanks for the kind remarks...I'm currently working on a miniature flower garden, stitching while watching college hoops..

fish92241 01-23-2016 04:36 PM

Great minis and I love the tree!
