Christmas Placemat
2 Attachment(s)
My Christmas placemat and banner piece made for the Christmas retreat that I am going to next week. Placemat is a Crazy patch project from Anita Goodesign and it is a pieced ITH project. I have quilted in the ditch of each block after it has been joined together. The banner piece is machine embroidered appliqued and machine quilted around the design and wording.

Beautiful work! Our guild makes placemats for Meals on Wheels every Christmas. I hope you don't mind if I borrow your design. It would work great with scraps--which we all have!
Beautiful!
nicely done

Beautiful, you do great work.

I don't mind at all, everyone turns out differently and crazy patch is crazy patch and yes, an excellent way to use scraps as that is just what I did.] |

I love your work, the crazy patch is so beautiful. How great!
Great placemats!
Both are beautifully done...I especially love the scrappy one.
Those are stunning, beautiful.
Wonderful work. I especially like the placemats. I have finished sewing for a craft boutique to benefit the local crises pregnancy center. I want to make a few things for our home-I think the placemats would be a good start.
 -- very attractive!!
Beautiful. The crazy quilt placemats remind me of my g'ma. She loved crazy quilts.
Beautiful work, but I do have to ask - what is an ITH project?
Sailor woman it means in the hoop. Betty your work is beautiful, I have wanted to purchase an embroidery machine so many times after seeing someone make a beautiful piece like the Holy Family. However my DH always says do you really need another machine? I just invested in a serger so now is probably not the time to say I want one again. Sigh!
Beautifully done...love the crazy quilt....
Sailorwoman, ITH is 'in the hoop', a term used with machine embroidery. Anita Goodesigns is a supplier of designs to use with embroidery machines.
Wonderful.
Betty, you do beautiful work! I am really impressed! Wish I was going to your Christmas party so that I would be in for the drawing! Terise

Your pieces are lovely! You do such nice work. I would love to know the size of your placemat. I am just embarking on this project of making placemats for Thanksgiving with my family.

Betty, do you have a link to the embroidery design for the patchwork placemat? I’d love to make that. Thanks in advance. Both items are gorgeous.
