Beautiful, I like that they are simple but striking. What length and width center strip did you start with ??

Those will make a beautiful setting. Love the colors. I have discovered I love using scraps. Our scrap group makes a scrap quilt every year for our guild's auction in December. These would have been a very nice addition for the silent auction. Christmas peace & blessings to you & yours.

These are too beautiful to use. You did a super job on them. How large were the strips? I think that this would make a lovely table runner. Thanks for sharing and the idea. BrendaK

After spending time making them I would be tempted to only use them for cookies, or something that wouldn't stain the beautiful work. Did you have any ideas on how not to destroy them? I'd like to know, because i really love them and would make a set.

I'm going to take my chances with them and hope for the best. I made a quilt tablecloth for Thanksgiving last year and was going to cover it with vinyl but decided to take my chances and lucked out with no spots or spills. I did also make matching coasters (which I am doing for the placemats) and that helps with glass drips. I told everyone before we ate last year to keep in mind that I was going to embroidery the name by the stain of the person who created it. lol

All the strips were 1 1/4" and two 8" strips started it.

I started with an 8 inch length of each color and all strips were 1 1/4" but this could be adjusted for a table runner.

These are on my to do list! I go through my quilt magazines for Christmas ideas and use the little sticky tabs to mark pages. I think I will have to live to be 150 to get all of them done!!
