Great find. I'd hate to think one of my quilts that I've spent countless hours completing would wind up at Goodwill.

Wow!! What a pretty quilt. It looks like it has been used very little. I know you are going to enjoy having it.

Wow, so glad someone who appreciates every stitch that went into it, saved that quilt. I can only believe that somehow the original quilter knows and is pleased you have it. (No one who put all that hand work into it would have given it away to Goodwill themself) It's pretty and hope you enjoy it.

Now then..... it needs to be cleaned. Should I wash it in a great big washing machine at a laundry? Help!

It's a bitter sweet situation isn't it? Sweet that you discovered such a beautiful piece of work and sad for the person who put so many hours of her life into it and have it end up in Good Will. I love the pattern. Does anyone know what it is? I don't think I'd wash it in a laundromat, either have it cleaned or soak it for awhile in your washer and then hand wash it. Good luck.

Who would do that to such a fine quilt or any quilt for that matter. Lucky you for finding it and giving it a good home.

Someone obviously didn't know all the time/labour and hard work and money that goes into a quilt, to just give it to goodwill! Great find for you, congrats!!

Probably someones husband that despised her quilting. And this was his way to get back at her.
