Don't know what happened to first post, it's somewhere way out there...can't find it anywhere...so hope you don't mind my showing you pics again. The quilt is queen-size with 18" drop, and 10" tuck. Close-up block shows the defined 4-point star. Little black thing is Daisy, our sweet, sweet rescue miniature pinscher. Hope you like.

That is a very attractive quilt. Daisy is precious, as well.

Are those blocks 'Stack the Deck'?

Beatiful quilt. I'd love that year round.

KathyAire - what is "stack the deck", is that like stack and whack?

ccb2200 11-06-2010 04:25 PM

That is really pretty. Good job.

Here is an explanation better than I could explain it. Although, I never used a template.

Here's a video.

The video is in three parts. If you Google 'Stack the Deck' video, you will see access to all three parts.

Beautiful quilt. Daisy looks like she is guarding it for you. So cute.

Cottontop 11-06-2010 06:34 PM

No, it's "stained glass window", hence the sashing.

manyana 11-06-2010 06:36 PM

I don't normally like scrappy but that is really eye catching.
I don't think Daisy is going to let anyone take that quilt!

MamaBear61 11-07-2010 05:05 AM

Wonderful quilt! I like your idea of using Christmas fabric. This would be a good project to use any themed leftover fabric after each holiday!

chickadeee55 11-07-2010 06:06 AM

I love the quilt and the black really sets off the colors. Even you puppy looks proud of it.

Makes everything POP in the quilt.
Very nice.

Pretty quilt, you did good. I'll take Daisy.

Cottontop 11-07-2010 07:05 AM

On second thought, I'd like to clarify. I don't know where the stained glass pattern came from (maybe stack and ?). I went to a class where the teacher had developed her instructions and provided the template. She called it "stained glass". Don't know where she got the idea to further enhance or develop. Hope this helps to clear up the matter. Happy stitching, and thanks for all the nice words.

Rhonda 11-07-2010 09:34 PM
