Christmas Star Quilt
1 Attachment(s)
This is one I am keeping for myself.
The pattern is in the McCalls Quilting issue of Nov/Dec 2011. It was made with Moda jelly roll, Flurries. It is about 52" square. |
Beautiful. I understand why you are keeping it.

Very pretty and I like the fabrics too.

Great quilt! That pattern eliminates all the seams coming together in the center like in the Lone Star but gives the same look. I'd keep it too!
Wow love love it...great job...I need to look and see if I have that issue...Aw rats that magazine isn't on my list. Pout pout...oh well it's still a beautiful quilt.
I love that ornament fabric! You did a super job!
What a GREAT quilt! I love it.
First off--BEAUTIFUL QUILT!! Will have to look this one up and try! Question: I see the red and white fabric (could have been prewashed) and I see the red in the jelly roll fabric (probably not prewashed)---what's the best procedure for washing this quilt the first time to prevent bleeding? Synthrapol in hot? Anything else? Just wondering since I hold my breath everytime I wash a finished quilt for the first time. I usually do not prewash.
yeah, you are keep this one. Your border really picks up the colors wonderfully. It looks great. I noticed your avatar. It is simply stunning.
Love your quilt, can't believe I missed that issue as I love stars.
Love, Love Love this! I love the white between the points.
Great Christmas quilt....fun to look at!
I like this one!
great use of jellyroll.
Really beautiful quilt!!!!!
Thank you for all the nice comments.
I never even thought of the reds running when washed. I think I will use a color catcher. If I use it for decoration during the season, hopefully it will not need washing too soon. Yes, my red was prewashed, but not the jelly roll. Jean

Very nice. I have made several similar throws out of flannel using a pattern from Country Threads. They go together quickly and are very warm and cuddly.
It's definitely a keeper. Very pretty. I'll have to check and see if I have that issue. Thanks.
