Very nice the pattern is so different and your fabric choices are lovely Thanks for sharing your beautiful work. Is there a pattern available for this technique?

craftyone27 12-10-2010 02:41 PM

Lovely pattern!! I have some of that red fabric but haven't decided how to use it yet. What pattern did you use and did you sew curves or use applique technique? Someone will really enjoy using your pretty topper!

twixbar 12-10-2010 02:53 PM

That is really unusual, I think it is beautiful.

Japanese Folded Patchwork-the ones I have used is a round piece of fabric folded over a different square piece of fabric with the wadding in between. The triangle piece also start with a round piece folded over a triangle piece. You can do all sorts of different shapes as well eg hexagon.Every piece is done individually and join later. All hand work I am afraid, but I enjoy hand stitching.

magpie 12-10-2010 03:12 PM

Totally beautiful. Can you share pics of the process or do a tute, maybe?

1st.spring46 12-10-2010 03:28 PM

Thanks for the comments. This topper can be done in any other fabrics. I'll try to do a tute maybe next year if anyone else is interested. All hand stitch though.
