I love it! I have made my own ruler out of stiff cardboard for a project one time. Good job!

Well done you! This looks fantastic - I love the colour combinations you have used. What a wonderful birthday present for your mum!

Well done, too, for using your initiative and making your own ruler!

I agree - well done and love the idea of how you made your ruler. So many times a pattern calls for a specialty ruler and you never use it again.

A top notch table topper!
Wonderful pattern. Good job creating your own formula to suit your needs!

I love your tabletopper! I have just started my first round one and it's proving to be a challenge even with a 10 degree ruler. I can't imagine doing it without one!

You did a great job! This is really fun. I know your mother was thrilled!

Mum has a round table. Something like this would be great for her.

AWESOME!! She will love it.

It's fabulous! You are so clever to make your own ruler and to figure out the math to get it to work. Super!

Love it...i also love your shelf with the birds. I have one also but with teacups..I never even thought of using it for something else..LOL...until now...thinking of all of my sewing goodies...perfect....love viewing all of these ideas. Greats the mind rolling and thinking out of the box.

Decided to try this. I have the 9degree ruler but I wanted to lengthen it so tried to cut one out of foam board. What a mess.. I don't know how you did it but I can't seem to get it straight. But I am determined to get this done today. :)

Rosebird 12-18-2012 12:45 PM

I sort of followed you design but ran out of fabric so had to make a "design decision" Mine is small only a topper. I lined mine and just turned it. Did this in 1 day . I still want to stitch something around the edges and maybe from center to outside. But that will wait until tomorrow
