Christmas tree skirt
1 Attachment(s)
I have been trying my hand at being a seamstress for my GD. This made me so frustrated (will post picture in a few days) that I had to have another project to switch back and forth to..Made this skirt from Angiecub's tutorial. It was much more fun and much easier than the dress I was making! I did have to buy 3 yds for backing, tho. Couldn't figure out how to make 2 yds work. Skirt is 50 in. Thanks for the tute, Angiecub. I bookmarked it quite awhile ago, hoping to make at least one.

Neat tree skirt! I hate garment sewing and it is usually more expensive than ready made.
Your tree skirt is beautiful. How large is it? Do you have a link to the tutorial?
Thanks |

Very nice design for tree skirt.
Beautiful tree skirt.
Love your tree skirt! I did a similar one and enjoyed the process so much that I made smaller versions for end tables for us and for family members too
Really pretty tree skirt! It is an unusual design and you did a nice job sewing it!
It's stunning, good job.
Whoa!! That is amazing looking!! Great job!
This is so pretty. You did a great job. Merry Christmas.
WOW, looks like you have curved piecing down pat. It is a skill I need to learn. You made a very stunning Xmas skirt. enjoy !!
Very pretty tree skirt.
That is the prettiest tree skirt I have ever seen. It just looks so festive and cheerful. Where can I find the tutorial?
Ok, I found where it was. |
Oh, my, that is pretty.
Best yet..no curved piecing. Just strip sets and wedge ruler!
Beautifully sewn together and I like your colour combo. Much more fun than making garments.
wow a very nice tree skirt
Very, very, pretty! Will be buying ruler tomorrow.
I love your tree skirt.
What a happy tree skirt - I might have to put the CD's on and start singing!!! Well done.
Very nice!
Oh I LOVE this! !
WOW, that's an awesome tree skirt. I agree, sometimes when I'm making dresses for our Fashionista 4 year old DGD, I occasionally have to switch back to quilting something else, like quilts or wall hangings. However, I love it when I make dresses for Zoe, like the 2 I made for her BD in May, she immediately told Mom to put one of them on immediately and has worn it often. That makes it all worthwhile. She is definitely a "Girlie Girl", but that's fine by me.

Added to the bucket list. I have that ruler, looking for the next project, found this tutorial. Thank you.
admire your tree skirt very much... you did a great job and love all the fabric you chose.
Very pretty !
That's gorgeous. I especially like how the central ring is pieced in a single fabric; gives the eye a place to rest and the color just makes the whole skirt sing. Great job!
Beautiful job on your tree skirt. Girlfriend, thanks for providing the patter. This is now on my to-do list.
I really like this it's so festive. My guild did a spiral table topper using this same ruler. I would love to make this but at $30 for the ruler I will wait until I figure a way to make it using something else, or one of the girls from my guild lends me their 10 degree (maybe it's the 9) ruler.

I am so going to make this. I would like to try putting a strip of gold lame' in there, and then make a 3 or 4 inch gold lame' ruffle all around the edge instead of the binding. I can picture this in my head. I think the gold lame' will set it off.
Love this; love the work you put into it and the colors is so pretty.
Well done !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your tree skirt is really nice. Thanks for the link to the tutorial. Not that I "need" another tree skirt, but it could be a future project after seeing yours:) Merry Christmas:)
