Christmas Tree Wallhanging

1 Attachment(s)
I don't put up a Christmas tree at the holidays because I have two cats and I really don't trust them so I decided that this year I wanted to make a few extra decorations for my walls. This is my scrappy Christmas tree wallhanging made with a tree I drew for it.

Special thanks to TwinRiverFarm for supplying 9 of the brown fabrics for the trunks.

This was really fun to make.

That's really nice! I like the trees because they are more detailed than the normal triangular trees.

Adorable wall hanging. I like the shapes of the trees, they just look 'happy'. I like the scrappy look. I think you could decorate your trees for Christmas if you wanted to.

I love Christmas trees of all shapes and sizes. Thanks for sharing.

I love your little forest. FYI - I have always had cats, and Christmas trees, and before they started making the wonderful plastic decorations, I just borrowed a blanket from the neighbor's dog to put under the tree skirt to keep my cats away from the tree. It worked but the plastic ornaments, (with no glitter!) has made it easy to stop worrying. I use short strings of beads instead of tinsel for sparkle so no worries there either. Maybe you could try this?

This is something I made up. The tree is a tree I drew and then traced on 12 different green fabrics and 12 different brown fabrics and cut them out. I pulled out a scrap of white fabric and secured them with a little glue and some pins. I straight stitched them down. It was a lot of fun to make.
